1. WHEN YOU CAN’T FALL ASLEEP
If you couldn’t fall asleep right after you get on your bed– you can avoid caffeine several hours before bedtime. Exercise in the morning or afternoon and put your phone away at least an hour before your bedtime.
Snoring can occur occasionally or it can be a regular issue. It is usually caused due to colds, flu, sinusitis, seasonal allergies, alcohol consumption, being overweight, sleeping on your back, or sleep deprivation. To avoid snoring, try sleeping on your side or propping your head up a few inches. You can also clear out your sinuses with saline before bed and avoid alcohol.
3. ACID REFLUX
Acid reflux is a condition caused when acidic gastric fluid flows back into the food pipe instead of flowing forward, resulting in heartburn. To feel at ease, talk to your doctor about medication, and try sleeping on your left side on an elevated pillow.
4. NECK PAIN
Neck pain can be caused when you are stressed or maintained a bad posture for a long time. To avoid the strain, replace your pillows and have a comfortable sleep.
5. SHOULDER PAIN
Shoulder pain can arise when you sleep on one side for a long duration. To help yourself, just avoid sleeping on your side. If you are a side sleeper, and the pain is only in one shoulder, try sleeping on the other side. Also hugging a pillow while sleeping might help you!
6. LEG CRAMPS
Leg cramps can occur while you sleep. It could have occurred when you stretched your leg unintentionally while your muscles are not in a relaxed state. Also when it is cold or when you’re deficient in any vitamins. You can try massaging the cramped area by applying heat to the muscle and stretching to relieve the pain.
