Excessive body weight can also be a possible cause of snoring. Massive weight around the thyroid gland can compress the airway and lead to airway block–causing you to snore. So if you are overweight and want to stop snoring, it is best to prioritize weight loss.

#5. Treat Allergies

If you have a cold or seasonal allergy that causes you to snore, seek a doctor and talk about medications and natural treatment options to ease your symptoms and open your airways.
